Un cantante y compositor muy joven
Alfred García es un joven de tan solo 21 años conocido en nuestro país por ser finalista de Operación Triunfo, el reality show de talento músical que ha vuelto a la pequeña pantalla tras un gran éxito pasado y mucho tiempo desaparecido.
Su éxito en el programa le ha llevado también a representar a España en el festival de la canción de Eurovisión de 2018.
Ha saltado también al ruedo de las noticias y titulares por sus inclinaciones políticas, a menudo muy críticas con el país.
El libro de la polémica
Alfred le regaló a la carismática Amaia Romero, su pareja el libro «España de Mierda» de Albert Plà, sobre lo cual declaró:
«Ha habido muchos artistas que han cambiado el mundo con sus canciones, con sus mensajes, y que a partir de su simbología y de sus letras han abierto la mente a muchas personas… siempre han peleado por un mundo mejor y más pacífico»

El gesto del libro hizo que incluso se hicieran plataformas de recogida de firmas, bastante repletas de odio, para que no actuasen en Eurovisión representando a España, acusando al cantante catalán de independentista separatista por unos tweets antiguos:
"A todos los españoles: No queremos que el cantante INDEPENDENTISTA Alfred represente a España en Eurovisión" No podemos hacer nada pero + de 96 mil firmas ???? "Groupies" abstenerse de comentarios. Gracias @Cuetano68 !!#VikingosTeam

Alfred sentencia, pero no se moja:
«Yo entiendo la situación, pero no soy nacionalista de ningún tipo, ni catalán ni español. Soy patriota de la música»
Crítico con la situación actual de España:
El joven compositor asegura que:
«No estoy orgulloso de representar a España a nivel político. Lo siento. España tiene que cambiar mucho para que esté orgulloso de ella»
Un sentimiento que comparten cada vez más muchos de sus fans.
«En España se trata igual a los ladrones del PP que a Valtonyc por hacer una canción. Pues vale. Está bien saberlo. Por mi parte, mucha suerte a Pedro Sánchez. Es muy guapo, aunque tiene la cara un poco marcada… vi en una foto de un periódico francés que decían que estaba muy bueno. Qué le voy a decir: que baje el 21% de IVA, que ya está bien, que tengo que comprarme discos y digo “macho”… y yo aún tengo suerte, pero el que tenga que pagarse un piso o mantener a una familia se lo piensa dos veces. hay que tener los huevos bien puestos para hablar en una entrevista de la política de este país y del machismo entre otros como lo ha hecho alfred a penas habiendo empezado su carrera musical
