Ahora reniegan el uno del otro, pero no hace tanto tiempo Albert Rivera y Santi Abascal no podían evitar alabarse entre ellos. Fue en el programa El Gato al Agua, de Intereconomía, donde ambos destacaban que tenían muchos puntos en común, e incluso que compartían una amistad.

En el vídeo, vemos cómo Albert Rivera dice que «Ni Vox ni UPyD son ni enemigos. No diría ni adversarios de Ciudadanos«. Santi Abascal, por su parte, asegura que se siente muy identificado con el mensaje de los naranjas, y que «hay importantísimos puntos de contacto entre Ciudadanos y Vox».

Esta relación tan amistosa contrasta con la actual. En su mitin en Vistalegre, desde Vox comparaban a Ciudadanos con una veleta, que cambia de opinión a la primera crítica. Ciudadanos, por su parte, han ignorado al partido ultraderechista y a su líder, intentando evitar incluso mencionar su nombre. «Siento defraudarles pero yo he venido aquí a hablar de educación», se disculpó Rivera este lunes en un desayuno informativo.

Una relación fría. Lejos queda, según parece, esa amistad y esos puntos en común. Lejos quedan también estas palabras de Juan Carlos Girauta, portavoz de Ciudadanos en el congreso, que declaraba que no sabría decir qué separaba a su partido de Vox, aseguraba que mantenía amistad con varios miembros de los ultraderechistas, y definía a Santi Abascal como un «buen hombre y muy valiente«.
