Si la propia noticia ya da pie a la polémica, peor aún fue que el perfil oficial de la Guardia Civil le diera like. El senador de EH Bildu Jon Iñarritu se dio cuenta y compartió su indignación, comentando «¿Os imagináis que el perfil oficial de Twitter de la Guardia Civil haga likes ♥ a un partido de extrema derecha? Está pasando…».

No fue el único en hacerse eco. Alberto Garzón, líder de Izquierda Unida, lo calificó de «grave» y «lamentable», y denunció que la cuenta oficial de la Guardia Civil esté «dirigida por un seguidor de la extrema derecha«.

Ante esto, la Guardia Civil eliminó el like y dio explicaciones. Según dicen, había sido un «error involuntario», y recalcaron su «estricta imparcialidad política«.

Ese "like" se debe a un error involuntario y fue subsanado tan pronto como ha sido conocido
